Emperor Maximillian's Prayerbook + Durer

C O M M E N T S
This document is based on Emperor Maximillian's printed Prayerbook, which features unique border art by Albrecht Durer. This concept was then applied to a layout typical for heraldic documents of the era.

Included along the top margin are symbols of the five virtues of Knighthood (13th century).

These are: Humility (spurs), Truth (belt), Loyalty (chain of fealty), Prowess (sword) and Largesse (coffers).
